Key Responsibilities:

- Greet customers in a pleasant and helpful manner
- Assists customers in finding requested items or with questions
- Handles all grocery products in a safe, sanitary manner
- Maintains cleanliness and neatness of store
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time
- Must follow all Occupational Health and Safety requirements at all times
- All other duties as assigned (may be required to work in other departments within the supermarket), as well as duties associated with specific roles
- Shift flexibility required

Desired Skills & Experience:

- Previous experience in a supermarket environment considered as asset
- Ability to be friendly, courteous, tactful and maintain composure in dealing with customers and co-workers
- Must possess good communication skills
- Must have good working knowledge of food quality, hygiene and sanitation, kitchen safety and food presentation




- Knowledge of food preparation/presentation for a wide variety of food items

Physical Environment: Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential job duties.

- Ability to stand for long periods of time, walk and move rapidly, bend, stoop, twist and turn frequently.
- Ability to frequently reach, lift, stack and maneuver objects of varying dimensions and weights up to approximately 50 lbs. Ability to push and pull fully loaded hand trucks. Assistance with heavy items provided.
- Manual dexterity and good eye-hand coordination are necessary.
- Will involve frequent repetitive hand actions
