Job Overview: Responsible for leading the materials planning team to ensure operational and production continuity by overseeing all materials planning activities (including forecasting all components and ingredients with suppliers), inventory management, purchase requisitions & purchase orders, inbound materials shipments, and vendor performance management, to optimize the materials costs in alignment with Give and Go business objectives.
Key Responsibilities: Use the Master Schedule to generate Materials Requirement Plan (MRP) for all components, packaging, and ingredients needed for production in the next 12 months. Share materials forecast with Procurement team and with key suppliers.
Have an active role on the management of suppliers including the review shorts, delays, quality problems, and communication of challenges.
Perform assessment of key suppliers capacity and capabilities.
Inventory
Control for all materials. Work with logistics partners to ensure we’re utilizing available space as best as possible.
Help ensure that we are making best use of the materials available, to avoid spoilage and expiry as best as can be managed. Create and managed purchase requisitions and purchase orders in COUPA.
Demonstrate our Leadership competencies by creating a positive work environment and culture through administration of our People Processes and Tools.
Performance Management: Ensure proper onboarding and development of all staff by completing induction process, providing regular feedback and coaching, executing PDP start/mid-year dialogues, and engaging in corrective action when required
Talent & Succession: Ensure job vacancies are filled by completing the required processes and representing the company with integrity throughout the recruitment process Training: Ensure completion of function compliance training and /or SOP training Engagement:
Develop trusting relationships cross functionally and execute Employee Survey action plans within scope
Company Values (RDQAS): Lead by example upholding the values and holding others accountable for the same Vendors performance management. Track vendor performance to ensure vendors can meet Give and Go’s needs as a vendor, and highlight any instances where vendors are not performing as required to the procurement team for corrective action.
The Recipe for Success: Completion of college diploma in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business or a related field
Minimum of 4 years of proven experience in Supply Chain management, in Materials Planning, Scheduling, S&OP;, or Operations function, preferably within the Food Manufacturing industry.
Strong communication skills (verbal and written; strong listening skills)
Strong leadership skills including building strong relationships
Strong judgement, analysis and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make decisions.
Good ability to motivate and empower team members by providing feedback and recognition
Strong ability to influence stakeholders and manage conflict
Ability to prioritize demands and shift between conflicting priorities in a fast-paced work environment.
Knowledge of manufacturing and equipment for food processing and high-speed packaging, as well as Bakery Manufacturing including ingredients
