The City of Abbotsford seeks an experienced sustainability professional for a two-year term in the Environmental Services Division. You will leverage your expertise to lead planning, monitoring, and reporting on energy efficiency initiatives and carbon emissions reduction efforts. Your role includes collaboration with various stakeholders and guiding community engagement strategies.

Key Responsibilities:
• Design and implement community energy and climate programs
• Coordinate educational initiatives to promote sustainability
• Collaborate with cross-departmental teams and industry partners




• Research and analyze trends in energy efficiency
• Report findings to the Senior Energy & Climate Action Manager

Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field
• Minimum five years of project management experience
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Knowledge of BC Energy/Zero Carbon Step Code
• Experience in local government or public sector work
