The schedule for this position is Tuesday through Saturday

40 hour work week with an occasional requirement to work additional hours in order to meet deadlines.

Salary
$37.58 per hour

Job Summary
The Coordinator assists in overseeing the daily operations of Lookout residential, shelter, and outreach programs. Under the direction of the Program Manager, this position provides operational oversight to ensure clientele receive pertinent services while supporting the Society's goals, philosophy, and minimal barrier approach. The Coordinator assists with personnel management, program administration, budgeting, financial reporting, and regulatory compliance, while maintaining effective communication with internal and external stakeholders and contributing to a safe, efficient, and client-centered service environment.

Respirator Fit Test Requirement
This position requires successful completion of respirator fit testing,



as Lookout is COR (Certificate of Recognition) certified and must comply with WorkSafeBC health and safety requirements. To ensure a proper respirator seal during fit testing and use, employees are required to be clean‑shaven where the respirator seals against the face.

Job Duties

Assist in overseeing, managing, and evaluating assigned residential, shelter, and outreach programs.

Ensure program goals, philosophy, and minimal barrier service delivery are maintained.

Coordinate the administration of assigned programs, including documentation and reporting systems.

Review and enforce operating policies and procedures and recommend policy changes.

Liaise with community agencies, government representatives, and internal departments to coordinate services.

Assist with hiring, scheduling, personnel administration, and maintaining employee records.

Maintain payroll records and ensure payroll transactions are accurate and submitted on time.

Support staff development through in‑services and continuing education programs.

Prepare reports and assist with program planning, budgeting, financial analysis, and expenditure monitoring.

Maintain financial records, including petty cash, donations, and service‑related accounts.

Ensure compliance with health and safety standards, policies, and applicable regulations.

Maintain client privacy and confidentiality in accordance with organizational policies and legal requirements.

Investigate complaints,



address operational issues, and recommend appropriate action.

Participate in management meetings, committees, and professional development activities.

Perform other related duties as required.

Qualifications & Competence

Post‑secondary education, preferably in Social Services field, or comparable experience

Two years’ experience working in the community social service sector

Experience with scheduling, payroll, budgeting and human resources

Demonstrated knowledge of income assistance, affordable housing and health resources

A First Aid Training Certificate required and must pass a satisfactory Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sectors Clearance

Skills And Abilities

Strong collaborative approach to delivering and developing programs and services.

Proven ability to lead and work with a staff team in a unionized environment

Demonstrated experience collecting program statistics and delivering reports.

Strong time management skills with the ability to manage a workload with multiple priorities

Effective communication and conflict resolution skills
