Job Description Optis Consulting is actively seeking a Technical or Senior Technical Consultant to join our Vancouver, Toronto, Montreal, or Calgary . Working closely with the Project Manager, the Technical Consultant will serve as the first point of contact between technical clients integrating our partners’ solutions (Ivalua, SAP Ariba and/or Coupa) with their ERP and/or other internal and 3rd party systems. Experience in Coupa and is considered a significant asset.
This position The Technical Consultant will be responsible for developing technology solutions and mapping Optis customers’ business requirements to systems/technical requirements to ensure they are in line with the enterprise architectural plan. As a Technical Consultant, you will provide input to the strategic direction of technology investments to assist Optis customers in the development of the enterprise architecture and maximize their return on technology investment.

They must be logical thinkers, have a strong ability to collaborate as part of a team and to manage ambiguous or uncertain situations. They must have exceptional communication skills, be adaptable, proactive and willing to take ownership.
RESPONSIBILITIES Will be responsible to develop solutions for clients using service oriented architecture pattern.
Manage and implement an API-led strategy to connect data and applications with APIs.
Define and gather requirements and conduct design sessions for technical solutions.
Own complete lifecycle of delivery including architecture, design, development, test, and documentation of integration, custom development, and data migration solutions for business applications in the SaaS and other ERP systems
Responsible for defining and documenting Integration architecture, capturing, and documenting non-functional (architectural) requirements, preparing estimates, and defining technical solutions
Estimate the tasks and resources required to design, build, and test the code.
Develop new code or existing code for solution development/enhancement.
Maintain a sharp focus on system reliability and ensure overall solution architecture can gracefully handle upstream and downstream system failures.
Provide in-depth expertise in the discipline of integration architecture, data sources, security, technical design, programming, testing, and deployment.
Act as a trusted advisor to clients by providing Source-to-Pay (S2P) best practice guidance, solution recommendations, and strategic direction for complex procurement and supply chain initiatives.
Lead client-facing workshops, design sessions, and architecture discussions, demonstrating the ability to challenge requirements, recommend best practices, and drive solution decisions.
Work independently with minimal supervision while managing multiple client priorities and deliverables.
Support sustainment and enhancement engagements, including complex troubleshooting, solution optimization, process redesign, and deployment of advanced platform configurations.
Collaborate with client business and technical stakeholders to evaluate impacts across procurement, manufacturing, ERP, finance, supplier collaboration, and integration processes.
REQUIREMENTS Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent preferred.
Intermediate skills with Web Services, XML, JSON, SQL and or other integration technologies is mandatory.
Experience facilitating application integration architecture discussions and workshops.
Good understanding of REST API, SOAP Web Services and other integration architectures.
Experience with SAP Ariba, Coupa, GEP, Celonis and/or Ivalua Procurement solutions is preferred.
Additional experience using other ETL tools is preferred.
3+ years of experience at a integration architect or lead technical architect capacity in an Agile/ Hybrid development environment for transformational programs in the Source-to-Pay Programs or equivalent.
Proven skills as a team member, team lead or project manager on at least three full life cycle implementations.
Functional knowledge of Procurement business processes is preferred.
Technical aptitude and comfort understanding Web based applications and the SaaS, PaaS and IaaS Cloud models, and Integration concepts as well as application of these technologies in the enterprise environment.
Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple simultaneous projects.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Experience presenting clear and concise technical narrative.
ERP Knowledge – SAP ECC and/or SAP S/4HANA / PeopleSoft / ORACLE EBS or others is preffered.
Strong understanding of Source-to-Pay best practices, including procurement, sourcing, supplier management, contract management, invoicing, and integration patterns.
Experience advising clients on business process optimization, operating models, and solution design decisions beyond pure technical implementation.
Experience designing and supporting complex integrations involving EDI, ERP platforms, manufacturing systems, finance systems, middleware platforms, and third-party applications.
Ability to independently lead client discussions, gather requirements, recommend solutions, and translate business requirements into scalable technical designs.
Experience with solution architecture, enterprise integration patterns, and complex system landscapes involving multiple upstream and downstream applications.
Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex production issues, perform root cause analysis, and provide sustainable long-term solutions.
Experience working directly with executive stakeholders, business process owners, and technical teams in a consulting environment.
Previous experience supporting post-go-live sustainment, enhancement, and optimization programs is highly desirable.
Coupa certification and/or deep hands-on experience configuring and deploying Coupa solutions is highly preferred.
