This is a full-time permanent job opportunity working 40 hours a week.

Position Summary
The Engineering Technologist will play a key role in supporting the maintenance, operation, and improvement of building systems across our property portfolio. This role bridges technical expertise and hands‑on problem‑solving, working closely with maintenance staff, contractors, and management to ensure building infrastructure operates efficiently, safely, and in compliance with applicable codes and standards.

Key Responsibilities

Support the maintenance, inspection, and troubleshooting of building systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and life safety systems





Assist in planning, coordinating, and monitoring preventive maintenance programs

Review drawings, specifications, and technical documentation related to building systems and renovations

Conduct site inspections, condition assessments, and deficiency reporting

Assist with project coordination for repairs, upgrades, and capital improvements

Liaise with contractors, consultants, inspectors, and internal maintenance teams

Ensure compliance with building codes, safety regulations, and company standards

Maintain accurate records, reports, and maintenance documentation

Support energy efficiency initiatives and system optimization where applicable

Qualifications & Experience

Diploma in Engineering Technology (Building, Mechanical, Electrical, or related discipline)

Certified Engineering Technologist (CET) designation or eligibility considered an asset

3+ years of experience in building maintenance, facilities management, or related field

Strong understanding of building systems and construction practices

Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and specifications

Proficiency with MS Office; experience with maintenance or asset management software is an asset

Strong organizational, communication, and problem‑solving skills

Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast‑paced environment

Valid driver’s license and ability to travel between properties as required
