About the Role

We’re a professional couple in Ancaster with a happy, bright, and active little boy. We’re looking for someone who takes genuine interest in the children they care for and shows up each day ready to engage. He will be approximately 11–16 months old during the placement.

Please note that one parent will be working from home for the duration of the placement.

Position Details
Contract: Temporary, beginning August 2026
Hours: Monday to Thursday, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM (32 hours/week with the potential for additional some weeks)
Location: Private home, Ancaster, ON (live-out)
Compensation: $20–$23/hour, commensurate with experience (paid hourly)

Transportation: Candidate is responsible for their own transportation to and from our home. A vehicle and driver's license are not required for the role.

Responsibilities

- Provide attentive, nurturing one-on-one care throughout the day
- Support age-appropriate play, sensory activities, and physical development
- Maintain consistent nap, feeding, and daily routines
- Ensure a safe, stimulating home environment at all times




- Communicate openly and proactively with parents about the child's day
- Prepare easy, healthy meals and snacks for baby (asset)
- Light housekeeping related to the child — tidying play areas, laundering baby items (asset)

What We’re Looking For

- Demonstrated experience caring for infants and toddlers (references required)
- Current Standard First Aid & CPR-C certification, or willingness to obtain prior to start date
- Comfortable working in a home where a parent is present and working
- Reliable, punctual, and trustworthy
- Warm, calm, and confident — able to follow routines while staying responsive to the child’s needs
- Non-smoker
- Comfortable around dogs — we have a friendly, gentle standard goldendoodle who is part of the household
