Heavy Duty Mechanic

Our client, a large Maritime based conglomerate has asked us to locate several Heavy-Duty mechanics to join their company with locations in Saint John, Moncton and Fredericton NB.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

- Inspect and test mechanical units to locate faults and malfunctions.

- Diagnose faults and malfunctions and confirm findings with supervisor to determine whether to repair or replace unit.

- Complete reports to record problems and work performed adjust, repair or replace parts and components of transport truck and truck-trailer systems.

- Perform scheduled maintenance services.

- Test and adjust repaired systems to manufacturer's specifications.

- Ensure a safe work environment in compliance with all safety policies and procedures.

- Perform other duties as assigned.





Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Education, and Experience:

.

- Truck and Trailer Mechanic Red Seal Endorsement. Will consider individuals on their last block of their Apprenticeship.

- Ability to operate required equipment in a protected and responsible manner in a team-focused workplace.

- Ability to effectively communicate with co-workers and supervisors.
