Position Overview

We are seeking a compassionate, experienced, and reliable Personal Support Worker (PSW) to provide live-in care for a female client living with Dementia and Alzheimer's disease. The client resides with her son and daughter-in-law in a supportive family environment.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of one year of PSW experience, possess a valid driver's license and reliable vehicle, and be committed to providing high-quality, person-centered care that promotes dignity, comfort, and safety.

Key Responsibilities

- Assist with personal care, including bathing, showering, grooming, and hygiene support
- Provide assistance with dressing and daily living activities
- Prepare nutritious meals and assist with meal planning
- Offer companionship, emotional support, and meaningful engagement activities
- Monitor client safety and well-being throughout the day
- Support mobility and encourage independence where appropriate
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe living workplace
- Follow established care plans and document/report any changes in the client's condition
- Communicate effectively with family members and care coordinators





Client Needs

- Female client diagnosed with Dementia and Alzheimer's disease
- Requires supervision, companionship, and assistance with activities of daily living
- Driver's license and personal vehicle required for transportation and errands as needed

Qualifications & Requirements

- Certified Personal Support Worker (PSW) or equivalent healthcare training
- Minimum 1 year of experience providing personal care to seniors
- Experience supporting clients with Dementia and Alzheimer's disease preferred
- Valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Patient, compassionate, dependable, and professional
- Ability to work independently while collaborating with family members
- Current First Aid/CPR certification is considered an asset
