Our lovely nanny went back home to the States so we are actively looking for a live-out, part-time, and ideally long-term nanny to take care of our 16 month-old boy ASAP. We are located in Pitt Meadows and you must have a car to get to us as public transit does not reach us.
Here is exactly what we need:
- 3 to 4 shifts of around 3 hours weekly (8-11am). Ideally Mondays/Weds/Fridays
- expected responsibilities: one snack, lunch prep, stroller walks or time spent playing outside, indoor play, reading. changing diapers and outfits.
Things to know about us: we are a young, working couple living on a multi-generational property so grandma/grandpa, auntie and uncle are also living on the same 2.6 acre of land. We have a big, loving dog named Junior. We have wildlife on the property and bodies of water, so an awareness of safety is significant.
Mom and dad are both working/doing school from home but won't be in the space - if ever you need help with anything, we are always available and nearby!
About our little boy: he is sensitive, curious, observant, and loving. He is not a wild,
rambunctious baby but he has moments of high energy! He often takes a bit more time to warm up to new faces, but once he knows you and likes you, he's very trusting.
He is obsessed with the tractors and cars on the property and will often ask to go "dehors" (outside in French!) or to go on a walk. He also loves going to the garden to pick out yummy blueberries from the bush. He is very attached to mama, so sometimes seeing her leave the space is difficult for him, but once she is gone, he is happy and connected to whomever is taking care of him.
We really would love someone who is reliable, attentive and chatty with our little one. Language/communication/connection is highly important for our family.
