Our busy professional family in Altadore, in Calgary's SW, is looking to hire a reliable and caring nanny for help with school-day afternoons for three to four hours each day, from 2.45-5.45 or later, Mon-Thurs, starting at the end of August.

We could also offer Fridays from 12.00 until 4.30 if you are looking for additional hours.

Our family includes two bright, happy boys, one in preschool and the other starting grade 1 in the fall. We recently added a small, high-energy puppy to our family who still learning manners. Two people in our family have asthma and food allergies so our nanny will need to have an understanding of food allergies (including cross-contamination), as well as first aid/CPR certification (or ability to obtain it) and a willingness to be trained on the use of an Epi-Pen if unfamiliar.

Both parents have obtained vulnerable sector police clearance and can provide a copy upon request.

As our valued nanny, you would provide the critical afternoon and early evening support required to keep our family life running smoothly. You would start school pick-up for our oldest at 2.45; some afternoons you would drive him to a short after-school lesson before heading home, and others you would take him straight home for playing, homework/music practice,



walking the dog, and/or some easy dinner ingredient prep.

Other light housework may be helpful such as wiping counters, putting away dishes, folding laundry, etc. The rest of our family gets home by 4.30/5.00pm, after which point you would help out with the boys' dinner and pre-bath time before heading out.

Our ideal candidate will have current CPR certification (or a willingness to become certified), as well as a vulnerable sector background check and/or police clearance, and skilled references. As we have asthmatics in the house, we require our nanny to be a non-smoker.

Any additional language abilities, particularly in French/Hindi/Punjabi, would be an asset. We live very close to Mount Royal University, so the position may be ideal for a student whose class schedule allows for free afternoons.
