The
Electrical Systems Manager
will be responsible for the development, implementation, deployment and ongoing management of the Optimized Electrical Maintenance Plan. They will provide technical expertise to Maintenance team leaders prior to, during and subsequent to planned maintenance activities including major and or minor electrical shutdowns. The Electrical Systems Manager plans, schedules, implements, and manages all aspects of the electrical repairs but are not necessarily actively working on site themselves.KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Subject Matter Expert
Oversees major electrical maintenanceManages time and space calendars as required during major all electrical workOversees ongoing electrical maintenanceAnalyzes complex documentation and reporting. Prepares, plans and schedules the recommended repairs or modifications to the electrical systems based on the review of the various studies, analysis and reportsPerforms analysis on failure ratesProvides expertise in the tendering, procurement, assessment of bids for all electrical maintenance activitiesProvidestechnical expertise in the revision of deliverable documentations, such as Single line drawings, analysis of infrared reports, analysis of vibration analysis, analysis of oil sample trends and analysis of electrical co-ordination studiesOccasionally works off peak hours as required ex: weekend shutdownsCommunication




Communicates effectively with internal and external stake holders of all levelsParticipates actively in the implementation of energy reduction initiativesAttends monthly MTL meetingsWorks with team members and helps with the education and mentoring of the teamParticipates in project user requirements and start up meetings that involve electrical components or modificationsReporting
Documents activities related to building operations and maintenance, providing input to the Property Manager(s) with respect to building conditions;
project planning, budget planning and forecastingCollects and reviews data on corrective maintenance. Studies trends on repairs to uncover larger scale issues. Implements plans to correct issuesOther tasks and duties as requiredKNOWLEDGE & SKILLS
College diploma in the field of electricity or equivalentMore than 10 years of job related experienceMaintainscurrent designation as licensed maintenance electrician in province of workExtensive knowledge of Computerized Maintenance Management SystemsExtensive knowledge of best practices as they pertain to electrical maintenanceStrong knowledge of electrical, fire, building and elevating devices codesExperience managing people, contractors and small projectsEffective communication skillsGood reporting, documentation and analytical skillsStrong ability to prioritize and plan effectivelyLicenses and/or Professional Accreditation
Canadian Red seal maintenance/construction or industrial electricianCertified energy manager would be considered an assetProject Management Professional would be considered an assetElectrical engineer or technologist would be considered an assetValid Driver's LicenseThis is a regular, full-time position with a salary range of $75,440 - $94,300 per annum. The starting salary will be based on the successful candidate’s competencies, including but not limited to experience, education and performance related to this role.#LI-JC1
