You will be screening expenses for compliance and supporting the monthly financial reporting process as well as the quarterly expenses disclosure process.Key ResponsibilitiesReview and process credit card, accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger and nonfinancial transactions by entering them into the accounting systemDetermine compliance of financial transactions with policies and procedures by ensuring transactions adhere to guidelines and policiesIn event of compliance issues,



conduct research and provide recommendations supported by relevant information and a summary of findingsSupport the monthly financial reporting process by reviewing monthly expense reports for accuracySupport the quarterly public expenses disclosure process by reviewing for accuracy and redacting relevant informationDemonstrate support for a positive and respectful workplace cultureKnowledge, Skills and AbilitiesPost secondary in accounting, business administration, or finance3-5 years progressively responsible related experienceStrong written, verbal and interpersonal skills for relationship building and collaboration with teammates and clients alikeAbility to use valuable judgment and tact in all interactionsKnowledge of accounting principles and the accounting cycleExperience in the functions of an accounting system and fully integrated enterprise resource planning (ERP) applicationStrong computer skills that include spreadsheet, word processing, and database applicationsThis is a permanent full-time, onsite position in the heart of downtown Edmonton.Remuneration Compensation includes a salary of $66,000 – 86,000, 15 days vacation, pension plan, and a health spending
