Positions Summary As a Millwright I / II, your role is critical to the reputation that Ebco has built for delivering world-class quality manufacturing, and repair & rebuild services to projects based domestically and worldwide. You will be responsible for performing maintenance and repairs on all machinery, equipment and buildings.
Qualifications And Experience Technical Experience:
3-5 years’ experience as a ticketed Millwright
Experience working on and assembling large machinery and equipment
Red Seal endorsement is desired or the willingness to challenge for the red seal endorsement
Responsibilities Main Responsibilities:
Working on and assembling large machinery and various other equipment
Troubleshooting difficult repairs and installations to ensure a timely repair or set up of machinery and equipment
Carrying out machine gear box overhauls
Detecting and troubleshooting irregularities and malfunctions
Performing standard maintenance on large overhead cranes
Performing general building and grounds maintenance for entire facility
Personal Suitability Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Knowledge and ability to troubleshoot difficult repairs, troubleshoot irregularities and malfunctions
Knowledge of machine gear boxes and repairs, as well as a variety of machining and fabrication equipment
Perform standard maintenance on large overhead cranes.
Knowledge of diesel, engine and propane powered forklifts is essential.
Electrical experience an asset
Ability to communicate effectively in English (reading, writing and speaking)
Special Requirements
This is a physically demanding position requiring a person to lift or move 50 lbs.
Regular exposure to moving mechanical parts in a moderately noisy environment.
Fast paced environment with priorities that often change to meet current problems.
Working at heights is required.
Over time and some weekend work is required.
We offer competitive wages ($41.36-$42.42/hr) and comprehensive benefits. Remuneration and perks plan as per Ebco and Ironworker's Local 712 Collective Agreement.
