Job Title:Director, Physical SalesReports To:Co-General Manager, WMCDepartment:SalesLocation:Toronto, Ontario, CanadaJob Type:Regular, Full TimeWorking Hours:37.5 hours per weekPay Range:$100,000–$130,000 per annumVacancy:BackfillAbout the RoleThe Director of Physical Sales is responsible for leading the sales strategy to achieve and exceed revenue targets across retail, B2B, and e-commerce channels. This role requires a strong leader who can forecast revenue, service clients, and oversee the Sales, E‑Commerce, and Customer Service teams.ResponsibilitiesDrive the end‑to‑end sales process to exceed monthly and annual revenue targets across retail, B2B, and e‑commerce channels. Optimize sales volume, product mix, and pricing based on market trends and economic indicators.Create, negotiate, and launch retail marketing campaigns to ensure prime exposure and revenue generation.Communicate new releases, distribution changes, price changes, sales campaigns, and deletion notices.Take an active role with vendor‑managed inventory control to maximize sales and limit risk.Collaborate with customers on strategic partnerships, building bespoke retail marketing campaigns, securing preferred product placement, and pursuing new distribution opportunities.Liaise with Marketing to manage trade spend, with Operations for inventory needs,



and with Finance to maximize profitability and mitigate credit risk.Mentor and manage the Sales, E‑Commerce, and Customer Service teams to develop effective sales strategies and deliver exceptional customer satisfaction.Understand category‑specific landscapes and trends, and identify opportunities to expand the customer base and points of distribution.QualificationsPost‑secondary degree in Business or equivalent sales and managerial experience with strong business acumen.Minimum of 8‑10 years’ experience in music distribution preferred.Strong problem‑solving ability and metrics‑driven thinking.Team player committed to delivering results in a fast‑paced environment.Ability to oversee simultaneous campaigns and remain calm under pressure.We are an equal‑prospect employer committed to inclusion and diversity.
