Our reliable product development and launch capability, coupled with our global footprint, make us a trusted partner for customers in the automotive, furniture, hydraulic cylinders, flooring, textile and geo components industries.Responsibilities Process Design & OptimizationDevelop and improve manufacturing processes to reduce cycle times and cost while maximize efficiency and quality.Design, improve, and implement tools, jigs, and fixtures to support production.Evaluate, select, and specify appropriate machinery and technologies.Troubleshoot, and improvement equipment to improve quality and reduce cycle times and cost.Generate and maintain detailed documentation of PFMEA, Process Flow Charts, Work Instructions, Control Plans, and Feasibility Studies.Safety & Quality AssuranceChampion a safety-first approach maintaining a zero-accident culture.Ensure and monitor work, accident prevention and safe working environment across the business.Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.Implement corrective actions to address defects or inefficiencies.Apply lean manufacturing principles to streamline operations.Champion initiatives for process improvement, automation,
and innovation.Collaboration & SupportApply lean manufacturing principle to streamline operationsProvide technical support to production.QualificationsBachelor’s degree in manufacturing engineering, mechanical engineering, mechatronic engineering, or a related field.Minimum 2 years of work experience in manufacturing, automotive field preferred.Proficient in CAD software (e.G., AutoCAD, SolidWorks) for parts and tooling design.Experience in machinery troubleshooting and improvement with increasing quality and reducing cycle times and cost.Experience in pneumatic and hydraulic power systems design.Experience in stress analysis, kinematics design, geometric dimensioning, and tolerance calculations.Solid understanding lean manufacturing methodologies.Knowledge of automation systems, robotics, and vision systems.Injection mold process experience is an asset.Fanuc robot programming and troubleshooting is an asset.Vision system programming and troubleshooting is an asset.Compensation Salary ranges from $66,000 to $92,000 based on experience.Benefits Great benefits including prescription, dental, optical, a company sponsored registered pension plan, optional RRSP, and more!Equal Employment Opportunity Statement Leggett & Platt, Incorporated, and all its Canadian affiliates value the diversity of skills, knowledge, and perspectives our employees bring to our workplace.
