About the Role
We are seeking a Retail Branded Sales Associate for a 12‑month parental leave contract who will play a key role in supporting and contributing to the ongoing efforts to grow and maximize the Retail Brand at Furlani Foods. This position serves as a critical conduit between Sales, Customers and cross‑functional internal teams, ensuring the accurate flow of information and data related to promotions, pricing and programs. The role will also act as a backup for the Private Label Sales Associate.
Key Metrics:
Timely communication of key information to Sales and internal teams, and accuracy of tracked data (pricing systems, program sheets, promotions, etc.).
Responsibilities
- Update and maintain branded promotional trackers, listing forms and deal sheets across the U.S. and Canada (Retail and Food Service)
- Assist with new customer setup forms
- Maintain and upload accurate SKU information to trading partner portals and retailer websites (GS1 Canada, 1WorldSync, Retail Link, AWF, Precima)
- Fulfill Sales team requests for product specifications and related information
- Own sales program sheets, customer information, price lists and contract records in QAD (ERP), including investigation and resolution of related issues
- Liaise with cross‑functional teams to ensure sales‑related tasks are delivered on time and within budget
- Access retailer portals and extract relevant data
- Support Sales commercialization initiatives and act as an internal voice for the Sales team and key contact to other internal resources
- Serve as the point person to gather trade promotions from the Sales team and input them into the ERP system
- Investigate claims and deductions identified by Finance and support resolution with cross‑functional teams
- Approve cheque requests related to customer promotional costs
Knowledge & Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a related role within the Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) industry
- Strong Excel skills, including advanced functions
- Experience working with ERP systems (QAD preferred)
- Familiarity with retailer portals and data systems
- Claims and deductions clearance experience is an asset but not required
Education
- Post secondary degree/diploma in a business program or equivalent
