In this role, you will oversee a team of Project Managers and Project Coordinators responsible for delivering engineering solutions that support customer projects, product development initiatives, and business growth across our electrical wire and cable portfolio.As a member of the United Wire & Cable Business Leadership Team, you will play an important role in shaping engineering priorities, developing team capabilities, improving engineering processes, and ensuring resources are aligned to the highest-value opportunities. This position combines people leadership, operational oversight, and technical guidance to help drive quality, consistency, and execution across the organization.Work ArrangementThis is a hybrid position based out of our Richmond Hill, Ontario, Canada location.What You'll DoLead, coach, and develop a team of Project Managers and Project Coordinators, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvementOversee engineering workload planning and resource allocation to ensure projects are prioritized and executed effectivelyPartner with business leaders and stakeholders to align engineering efforts with strategic objectives and customer needsEstablish and maintain engineering standards, templates, and best practices that improve quality, consistency,
and efficiencyIdentify and implement process improvements that reduce cycle times and enhance project executionMonitor project progress, remove obstacles, and help teams resolve technical and operational challengesDrive product development initiatives, including recent product introduction, product enhancements, and continuous improvement effortsCoordinate certification testing and support compliance with applicable industry standards and requirementsServe as a technical resource and engineering liaison for cross-functional teams throughout the organizationSupport recruiting, onboarding, and talent development efforts to strengthen the engineering organizationParticipate as a member of the Business Leadership Team, contributing to strategic planning and business growth initiativesWhat You'll BringRequired QualificationsBachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent combination of education and experience10+ years of CAD engineering experience within a technical, manufacturing, or industrial environmentPrior experience leading and developing engineering or technical teamsStrong proficiency with CAD tools and engineering documentation practicesDemonstrated ability to prioritize multiple projects and manage competing business demandsStrong communication, collaboration, and leadership skillsPreferred QualificationsExperience within power distribution, electrical products, wire and cable,
