The team’s purpose is to leverage existing and emerging technologies, enable innovative, data-driven ideas for our internal and external partners, and provide solutions to assist in decision making and revenue generation.Job DescriptionAs a key member of Enterprise Data Management and Analytics, the BI Consultant will be responsible for planning, prioritizing, and delivering solutions. The role includes managing the end‑to‑end process to ensure the right solutions are delivered and address any operational concerns once in production, delivering on time and on budget, and adhering to required standards. The consultant fosters a culture aligned to TMX purpose, values, and strategy and role‑models TMX values and behaviors in all that they do.ResponsibilitiesCollaborate with stakeholders across departments to understand business needs, challenges,
and reporting requirements.Design and develop end‑to‑end BI solutions.Manage and maintain AWS QuickSight and Tableau environments.Build interactive dashboards and reports using BI tools (Amazon QuickSight & Tableau) to communicate key performance indicators (KPIs) and insights in a clear, visually appropriate manner for various audiences.Design access and governance methodologies for the dashboards and manage user base.Lead and mentor AWS QuickSight and Tableau developers in information presentation & delivery.Provide support and training to end‑users, fostering data literacy and empowering teams to use self‑service analytics tools effectively.Provide thought leadership, best practices, and standards required to deliver effective dashboarding solutions to clients.Oversee BI projects or specific modules, ensuring timely delivery and continuous improvement of services.Translate complex technical findings into non‑technical, business‑oriented language and provide recommendations to senior management to inform strategic and operational decisions.Build and foster BI community across TMX.Requirements & QualitiesUniversity degree, college diploma, or relevant job experience in Computer Science, Statistics, or Mathematics at minimum.7+ years of Tableau Development and server management experience.5+ years experience in data preparation using joins,
calculated fields and filters.10+ years of overall IT experience.5+ years of team lead experience.Experience with AWS QuickSight will be beneficial.Excellent written and communication skills.Ability to lead design efforts.Ability to explain technical concepts to technical and non‑technical business personnel.Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision.Ability to multitask.Strategic thinker.Salary Range70/hour – 80/hour CAD (guideline only; the salary offered may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, the successful candidate’s relevant knowledge, skills, and experience.)ExcitementExplore emerging technology and innovation, as well as ventures and digital finance that shape the future of global markets!
