Position Description: This role is hybrid and requires you to be at our downtown Toronto and/or client office at a minimum 2 days per week, subject to change at any time.ResponsibilitiesETL & Application TestingPerform ETL testing on IBM DataStage (or equivalent ETL tools) to validate data extraction, transformation, and loading processes.Validate data accuracy, completeness, and consistency between source systems, staging layers, and target databases.Execute end‑to‑end data testing, including smoke, system, integration, and regression testing.Perform data reconciliation and transformation logic validation using SQL queries.Test Planning & ExecutionCreate and maintain test plans, test scenarios, and detailed test cases based on business and technical requirements.Plan and manage test execution cycles, including functional, regression, and data validation testing.Maintain and execute regression test suites to ensure existing functionality remains unaffected by changes.Ensure defects are logged clearly with sufficient evidence and reproducible steps.Database & SQL ValidationPerform testing and validation using Oracle databases.Write and execute complex SQL queries to validate ETL logic, data integrity, and business rules.Analyze data issues and work with development teams to identify root causes.Defect Management & ReportingManage the defect lifecycle, including logging, tracking, retesting, and closure.Facilitate and drive defect triage meetings with development, business, and leadership stakeholders.Publish daily and weekly status reports, highlighting testing progress, risks, and blockers.Stakeholder CollaborationWork closely with development teams, business analysts, product owners,



and leadership to clarify requirements and expectations.Provide clear testing feedback and quality insights to support release decisions.Participate in project meetings and provide testing updates and risk assessments.Required Qualifications5–7 years of hands‑on application testing experience.5–7 years of ETL testing experience, specifically with IBM DataStage or other ETL tools such as Informatica, Ab Initio, SSIS.Strong experience with Oracle databases.Advanced SQL skills for data validation and analysis.Proven expertise in ETL / data warehouse testing concepts.Experience testing complex data transformations and large datasets.QA & Testing SkillsHands‑on experience creating and executing test plans, test cases, and test scenarios.Strong experience managing and maintaining regression test suites.Thorough understanding of defect management processes.Tools & MethodologiesFamiliarity with test management and defect tracking tools such as Jira.Experience working in Agile or hybrid delivery environments.Soft SkillsStrong communication and stakeholder management skills.Ability to interact effectively with development, business, and leadership teams.Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and attention to detail skills.Ability to work independently in a rapid‑paced, deadline‑driven environment.Nice to HaveExperience in banking or financial services environments.Exposure to data governance or reporting validation.Experience testing large enterprise data platforms.CompensationCGI is providing a reasonable estimate of the pay range for this role: $55,000–$105,000.EEO StatementCGI is an equal‑opportunity employer.
