Role Overview:

Our Toronto office is currently seeking a Financial Systems Administrator to join our Information Technology department. The ideal candidate will be an organized and eager professional who possesses great client service skills and a strong work ethic. This role supports the stability, security, reliability, and effective operation of financial systems used in a legal or professional services environment, including system configuration, user access, security roles, workflows, interfaces, reporting, upgrades, patches, incident resolution, and data validation. Working closely with Accounting, Finance, IT Security, and Data & Analytics teams, the Financial Systems Administrator helps ensure financial systems support billing, matter management, timekeeping, reporting, month-end and year-end processing, audit requirements, and broader business needs.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

Financial Systems Administration and Support

- Administering, maintaining, and supporting Elite 3E and related financial applications used by the Firm.
- Performing environment refreshes, including cloning and refreshing 3E production environments to test and UAT environments while maintaining data and configuration integrity.
- Configuring, maintaining, testing, and documenting 3E customizations, including custom fields, workflows, reports, forms, and screen designer changes.
- Investigating, troubleshooting, and resolving Level 2 and Level 3 financial systems incidents and service requests, escalating complex issues where required.
- Administering user provisioning, access changes, and security roles within financial systems in accordance with Firm policies and audit requirements.
- Supporting testing, validation, deployment, and post-implementation review of upgrades, patches,



integrations, and new modules across financial systems.
- Monitoring financial system health, scheduled jobs, batch processes, integrations, and interfaces, and address or escalate anomalies in a timely manner.
- Supporting month-end, year-end, billing, timekeeping, and other finance operational processes that depend on financial systems.
- Maintaining clear documentation of system configurations, workflows, customizations, procedures, test results, controls, and support activities.
- Identifying and supporting process improvements that reduce manual effort, improve system reliability, strengthen controls, and enhance service delivery to Finance and Accounting users.
- Participating in disaster recovery planning and testing for financial systems.

Financial Data, Reporting and Analytics Support

- Supporting the integrity, validation, and interpretation of financial system data, including client, matter, billing, time, and reporting data.
- Troubleshooting data-related issues, inconsistencies, and exceptions in collaboration with Accounting, Finance, Data & Analytics, and vendors as required.
- Supporting financial reporting, operational reporting, and self-serve analytics by maintaining reliable system data, reports, and related documentation.

General

- Participating in IT Change Management processes for financial systems changes, releases, upgrades, integrations, and configuration updates.
- Maintaining departmental run books, support procedures, and administrative documentation for financial systems.
- Collaborating with IT Security, Accounting, Finance, and vendors to ensure financial systems meet access control, audit, privacy, and operational requirements.
- Providing after-hours support as required for critical financial systems issues, maintenance, upgrades, or business processing deadlines.

The successful candidate must have the following education, experience and/or demonstrated skills:

- Practical experience administering, maintaining, and supporting enterprise financial systems, including user access, security roles, configuration, workflows, interfaces, reporting, upgrades, patches, and incident resolution




- Good working knowledge of Elite 3E or a comparable financial management system used in a legal, accounting, consulting, or other professional services environment
- Understanding of financial system data, relational data models, and how financial, client, matter, billing, time, and reporting data supports underlying business processes
- Service-oriented mindset with a commitment to delivering high-quality support
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team and across departments
- Working knowledge of T-SQL, with the ability to query, validate, and interpret financial system data from relational databases
- Familiarity with BI, reporting, and financial analytics tools such as Power BI, SSRS, Data Insights, or similar platforms
- Experience supporting financial systems in a legal or professional services organization is required
- Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively

Employment Type: Permanent, Full-Time

Salary Range: $80,000 - $95,000 Annually
