Open Door United Methodist Church is seeking a part-time Music Director. We are active in social justice, neighborhood empowerment, and LGBTQ+ inclusive. We are seeking a Music Director to accompany and lead congregational singing (keyboard preferred). Nestled in the East Bay hills in East Richmond Heights (unincorporated Richmond, CA) our sanctuary is cozy, art-filled, and historic. The MD leads our Praise Band rehearsal/service on Sunday mornings, and collaborates with the pastor/band on a Thursday zoom call. We are a small congregation with a modest budget but it might be a valuable fit for a retiree or student looking to supplement their income. This is a part-time position averaging 6–8 hours per week, with annual compensation of $14,000.
