Senior Estimator

Your New Role

As an Estimator, you will play a key role in supporting the pre-construction team with the preparation of competitive and accurate project estimates. Working closely with senior leaders, you will review drawings and specifications, perform quantity take-offs, obtain subcontractor and supplier pricing, and assist in the preparation of tender submissions and project budgets.

Key responsibilities include:

- Reviewing plans, specifications, addenda, and contract documents to determine project requirements.
- Completing quantity take-offs for concrete, rebar, and other construction scopes.
- Soliciting and evaluating subcontractor and supplier pricing.
- Preparing detailed cost estimates, including labour, materials, equipment, overhead, and profit.
- Coordinating with consultants, subcontractors, and suppliers to clarify scope and pricing.
- Assisting with tender submissions, bid closings, and project budgeting activities.




- Providing recommendations on subcontractor awards and procurement strategies.
- Supporting multiple bids and proposals while ensuring deadlines are met.
- Review drawings and technical documents to identify scope, risks, and opportunities.

What You'll Need to Succeed:

- Previous estimating experience within a GC or Construction Management environment.
- Strong understanding of quantity take-offs, bid preparation, subcontractor procurement, and tendering processes.
- Experience reviewing construction drawings and contract documents.
- Knowledge of construction methods, materials, and project delivery practices.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, and On-Screen Takeoff (OST) or similar estimating software.
- Robust communication, time management, organisational, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to manage competing priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
