As a Lead DevOps Engineer, you will play a critical role in bridging the gap between development and operations, ensuring that our applications are built, tested, and deployed with speed, reliability, and compliance to the Enterprise security standards. You will lead efforts to enhance developer productivity, optimize build pipelines, and foster a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement across the application development lifecycle.This is a 5‐month contract, hybrid position with the potential for extension. The successful candidate is expected to work from our Toronto office three days per week.What will you do?Lead the design and development of key features for the Helios CI/CD pipeline – VM and Mainframe platformsConsult with partner systems to develop integration strategies revolving around DevOps best practicesConsult with Enterprise Architecture and Governance teams to review solution designs to ensure best practices are adhered toEnable AI Capabilities to increase Developer ProductivityWork with product owners and key stakeholders to develop high-value features that benefit the RBC Developer communityMaintain the CI/CD pipeline: security and vulnerability management, capacity management, deployment and scaling strategies, performance and uptime,



infrastructure hygieneProvide estimates on feature delivery, identify and determine delivery risks on key initiatives, and contribute to quarterly product road map planningReview contributions from the Developer community and approve PRsWhat do you need to succeed?Must-Have7 years of robust experience with Azure DevOps practices and cloud infrastructureDeep understanding of DevOps Principles and best practices for CI/CD, including designing at an Enterprise scaleUnderstand configuration as code, RBAC, and working within the Mainframe environment from modern deployment platformsExperience with DevOps tools, platforms, and interfaces: Jenkins, UCD, Github, Github Actions, JFrog Artifactory, Hashicorp Vault, Ansible, Octopus DeployProficient with Java, Python, Typescript, Groovy, YAML, NPMExperience with deploying to cloud platforms: OCP, Azure, AWSHighly proficient with IBM Developer for z/OS (IDz)Experience with Mainframe utilities and platforms: ISPF, TSO, Mainframe Filesystems, JES, EndeavorNice-to-HaveExperience with QE Automation ToolsDevelopment Experience with IMS, Zeke, DB2, CICs, WebSphereDevelopment and support of applications hosted on Cloud platformsExperience with Networking conceptsExperience with SecOpsWe offer a competitive hourly rate, a casual workspace, and great people to collaborate with.
