Job Title: CNC Programmer

Status: Regular; Permanent; Full-time (1 Vacancy)

Start Date: As soon as possible

Salary: $36/hour

Hours: 35 to 40 hours/Week

Work Setting: Manufacturing

Benefits: 2 weeks paid vacation, health benefits (80% Medical, Dental)

Responsibilities

- Reading and interpreting technical blueprints and design models for CNC programming
- Design layouts and analyze drawings to determine dimensions and make manual program adjustments as necessary
- Create simple 2D AutoCAD drawings for parts and convert 2D AutoCAD drawings into 3 Axis CNC toolpaths and convert 3D Parts into 3 Axis/5-Axis CNC toolpaths for production




- Input the product design into computer modeling software and load the correct cutting tools for the job
- Troubleshoot issues during the manufacturing process
- Maintain and update a CNC tooling database and daily production logs
- Complete quality control tests during the manufacturing stage and on the final product and ensure health and safety

Experience

- 2 to 3 years of previous experience in the field or similar position

Education

- College diploma in related field is required for this position

Skills

- Fluent in English and excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to supervise 1 to 2 people
- General knowledge of woodworking, manufacturing engineering and experience programming (Master Cam, Solid Works, Alpha Cam, Pythagoras, Pegasus) and operating CNC Machinery (Bacci Artiste- 5 Axis CNC, Bacci- CNC Lathe, Biesse Rover B) is preferred
- Effective interpersonal skills, oral and written communication skills, team player and accurate
- Ability to work in fast-paced environment, work under pressure and attention to details
- Ability to provide written instructions to machine set-up and maintenance
