About the Opportunity We are representing a highly respected commercial real estate firm known for its strong values, disciplined financial management, and genuine team‑first culture. As part of their continued growth, our client is seeking a Senior Manager, Property Accounting to support portfolio performance, guide an established accounting team, and strengthen the financial operations that underpin their success. This role is ideal for a leader who values both technical excellence and relationship‑driven teamwork. The compensation range is between $100,000 to $145,000 plus bonus. Key Responsibilities Financial Leadership & Reporting Excellence Oversee financial operations for assigned properties, ensuring timely, accurate reporting and consistent application of accounting standards. Review budgets, forecasts, reconciliations, and performance results, offering insights that support informed operational decisions. Lead the preparation of financial packages, support audits, and ensure completeness of all documentation. Contribute to systems improvements, process enhancements, and workflow modernization initiatives. Operational Partnership Collaborate with Property Managers and internal teams to interpret financial results and respond to emerging needs. Provide explicit guidance, strengthen communication between accounting and operations, and promote alignment across departments. Team Management & Development Lead and mentor a team of property accountants, fostering a positive, learning‑oriented environment. Support skill development, encourage accountability, and maintain a culture grounded in respect, professionalism, and continuous improvement. Ensure consistent internal controls and well‑documented financial processes across the team. Qualifications & Experience Post‑secondary education in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA designation (or in progress) strongly preferred.
5+ years of progressive real estate property accounting experience , ideally within the commercial real estate sector. Proven experience supervising, coaching, or developing accounting staff. Strong understanding of property‑level accounting, recoveries, budgeting, and financial analysis. Proficiency in Excel and exposure to property management accounting systems. Excellent communication skills and the ability to thrive in a collaborative, deadline‑driven environment.
