Job Overview:
ZenaTech is looking for a detail-oriented, technically-minded Video Editor to join our team. We need someone who can turn product screen recordings, feature walkthroughs, and customer conversations into clear, polished videos that help prospects and customers understand and get value from our enterprise SaaS platforms.
This role is focused on software storytelling rather than social content: product demos, tutorials, onboarding videos, and webinar content that make complex drone data, DaaS, and SaaS workflows easy to follow. We're looking for someone with robust pacing instincts, a clean visual style, and the patience to make UI walkthroughs feel intuitive rather than tedious.
This is a full-time, on-site role in Vancouver, BC.
Key Responsibilities:
Product & Feature Videos:
- Edit product demo videos, feature walkthroughs, and release-update videos from screen recordings and voiceover.
- Add UI callouts, cursor highlights, zooms,
and motion graphics to guide viewer attention through software interfaces.
- Work with product and marketing stakeholders to translate technical functionality into clear, benefit-driven narratives.
- Keep pacing tight so demos hold attention without oversimplifying the product.
Tutorials & Onboarding Content:
- Produce step-by-step tutorial and how-to videos to support customer onboarding and self-serve help content.
- Create a consistent visual template for tutorials, including intros, chapter markers, and end screens.
- Add captions, on-screen text, and callouts so tutorials are easy to follow with or without sound.
Webinars & Customer Marketing:
- Edit recorded webinars, product launches, and customer/case-study interviews into polished long- and short-form content.
- Cut highlight reels and social-friendly clips from webinars and customer testimonials.
- Apply branded lower thirds, titles, and graphics consistent with ZenaTech's visual identity.
Post-Production & Delivery:
- Use DaVinci Resolve (or equivalent) for editing, colour correction, audio mixing, and final delivery.
- Clean up screen-recording artifacts (resolution, frame rate, audio noise) for a professional finish.
- Export content in formats and specs suited to the website, YouTube, LinkedIn, and in-app help centres.
- Maintain an organised project library including raw recordings, project files, and final deliverables.
Requirements:
- 3+ years of professional video editing experience, ideally including SaaS, software, or technology product content.
- Strong portfolio or reel showing product demo, tutorial, or software walkthrough work — required.
- Proficiency in DaVinci Resolve, Premiere Pro, or similar, including editing, colour, and audio.
- Ability to add clear motion graphics, UI callouts, and captions that simplify technical content.
- Excellent sense of pacing for instructional and explainer content — engaging without cutting corners on clarity.
- Ability to work independently with product and marketing teams, translating notes into polished edits.
- Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
Nice to Have:
- Experience with motion graphics tools such as After Effects.
- Prior experience editing content for a B2B SaaS, enterprise software, or technology company.
- Diploma or degree in Film, Media Production, Communications, or a related field.
