Commodity Material Management

Location: Canada (100% Remote)

Fundamental Skills

•Own and manage strategic relationships with key suppliers and manufacturing partners.

•Drive supplier performance improvements including:

Lead time reduction

Capacity expansion

On-Time Delivery (OTD) performance

Supply continuity

•Analyze complex demand, supply, inventory, and capacity reports to identify risks and implement mitigation strategies.

•Develop and communicate supply health metrics, risk assessments, and executive-level status updates for senior leadership.

•Partner closely with Engineering, Planning, Procurement, Operations, Finance, and Manufacturing teams to resolve supply challenges.

•Collaborate with ODMs, contract manufacturers, and component suppliers to ensure material availability and operational excellence.

•Manage supplier escalations and negotiate solutions to resolve supply constraints while balancing competing business priorities.

•Support sourcing strategies, cost optimization initiatives, and long-term supplier development.

Qualifications

•5+ years of experience in Commodity Management, Material Management, Strategic Sourcing, or Supply Chain Management.





•Strong experience managing electronic commodities within a high-volume manufacturing environment.

•Proven experience with direct supplier/vendor relationship management.

•Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret demand, supply, inventory, and capacity planning data.

•Experience driving supplier performance improvements through measurable KPIs.

•Excellent stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration skills.

•Strong communication skills with the ability to present complex supply risks to executive leadership.

•Experience managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced workplace.

Preferred Qualifications

•Experience supporting Hyperscale Data Centers, Cloud Infrastructure, or Server Hardware.

•Experience working with ODMs (Original Design Manufacturers) and EMS partners.

•Background in high-tech manufacturing, networking, storage, server, or semiconductor industries.

•Experience with ERP/MRP systems and supply planning tools.

•Knowledge of supplier risk management and supply continuity planning.
