Affirm is seeking a backend engineer to own scalable, distributed systems on a remote-first platform. You will design and deliver high-availability services using Python or Kotlin, and work with Spark/Flink on Kubernetes, Airflow and AWS. You will collaborate with product, design and analytics, lead by example, and drive quarterly goals while supporting the team through ambiguity and change.
