As a Cook reporting to the Culinary Manager, you will prepare meals for residents, guests, and staff while ensuring all food handling techniques are adhered to. Your experience in large quantity food preparation, preferably in healthcare settings, will be essential as you support special dietary needs and seasonal menus.
Key Responsibilities:
• Prepare daily meals for residents and staff
• Review menus and accurately produce meals
• Maintain proper food handling techniques
• Conduct regular temperature audits of storage areas
• Adapt menus for therapeutic diets as necessary
Requirements:
• Valid Food Handler’s Certificate is a must
• Red Seal Certificate preferred
• Experience in large quantity food preparation
• Knowledge of special dietary needs
• Physical capability to lift heavy items
