Senior Accountant, Finance Operations & Automation

Compensation: $80,000 to $100,000 per year

Employment: Full-time, permanent

Location: Cambridge, Ontario, 100% in office

We are redesigning how finance operates through stronger controls, fewer manual processes, better systems and faster resolution of recurring problems.

We are hiring a Senior Accountant to work directly with our Controller across accounting, reporting, payments, team coordination, process improvement and automation.

This is broader than a traditional Senior Accountant position. You will own important accounting work, review and coordinate the work of others, investigate what does not make sense and improve recurring processes before they reach the Controller.

What You Will Own

- Assigned month-end and year-end close activities, material entries and financial-statement schedules
- Balance-sheet reviews, including reconciliations, accruals, prepaids, fixed assets, loan accounting and cash controls
- Investigation and root-cause resolution of accounting discrepancies
- Review and coordination of accounting-team work, deadlines and outstanding issues
- Management reporting, variance analysis and clear explanations of financial results
- Support for payments,



treasury, audits, tax, budgeting and forecasting
- Process improvement using advanced Excel, AI and practical automation
- Defined components of larger finance, systems and company-wide projects

What You Bring

- At least three years of progressive accounting or finance experience
- A CPA designation, successful CFE completion or credible progress toward CPA
- Hands-on experience with financial statements, journal entries, reconciliations, accruals and month-end close
- Strong Excel capability and confidence working through imperfect data
- Experience reviewing or improving the work of others
- Practical experience using AI or automation tools and validating their output
- The ability to work full-time from our Cambridge office
