About The Firm

Position Overview
The firm is seeking a professional, reliable, and personable Legal Receptionist to join their team for a 6-week contract. As the first point of contact for clients and visitors, this role is essential to maintaining the firm’s high standard of client service and smooth daily office flow. The ideal candidate will bring a polished demeanor, strong organizational skills, and the ability to step in seamlessly to support the office during this short-term coverage period.
Key Responsibilities
- Front-of-House Excellence: Warmly greet clients, visitors, and deliveries, ensuring a welcoming and pristine reception and meeting room environment.
- Call Management: Efficiently manage a multi-line phone system, directing incoming calls and taking accurate, detailed messages for lawyers and staff.
- Mail & Courier Handling: Coordinate incoming and outgoing mail, couriers, and time-sensitive legal deliveries.
- Administrative Assistance: Provide light administrative support to legal clerks and assistants, including document scanning, filing, and basic data entry.
- Boardroom Management:
Coordinate the scheduling of meeting rooms and assist with preparations for client meetings or internal events.

- Reliability & Punctuality: Highly dependable with a solid work ethic to ensure smooth operations throughout the contract period.
- Effective Communication: Ability to communicate clearly, politely, and respectfully over the phone, via email, and in person.
- Adaptability: Quick learner capable of stepping into a fast-paced environment and hitting the ground running.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 1–2 years of reception or front desk experience (experience in a law firm or professional services setting is considered a strong asset)
- Proven ability to operate multi-line telephone systems effectively
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel)
- Immediate or flexible availability to complete a 6-week contract assignment
