Elevate workplace safety standards at MAHC as an Occupational Health & Safety Coordinator. This permanent, full-time position operates at both South Muskoka Memorial Hospital and Huntsville District Memorial Hospital.
You will play a key role in administering and coordinating safety programs, investigating workplace incidents, and ensuring compliance with pertinent legislation. Engaging with healthcare teams, you will deliver education on infection prevention and manage disability and return-to-work processes to foster a secure workplace culture.
Key Responsibilities:
• Coordinate attendance and return-to-work programs for staff
• Lead investigations on incidents and generate reports
• Collaborate with IPAC teams for disease management




• Conduct ergonomic assessments and hazard evaluations
• Analyze compliance trends and connect with regulatory bodies
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in occupational health or safety field
• Minimum 3 years experience in a relevant capacity
• Comprehensive knowledge of OHSA and WSIB policies
• Active participation in JHSC meetings and initiatives
• Certification as Disability Management Professional is advantageous
