Job Title: Senior Data Engineer

About the Role

NetworkPedia is seeking an experienced Senior Data Engineer to support the pubic sector modernization initiative. This role will focus on designing and building up-to-date Azure-based data platforms, developing scalable data pipelines, and delivering trusted, analytics-ready datasets that power regulatory reporting, compliance monitoring, and data-driven decision making.

The ideal candidate has strong Azure Data Engineering expertise, hands-on experience with Databricks, Python, SQL, Delta Lake, and Azure Data Factory, along with experience building enterprise-grade cloud data solutions.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, build, and maintain scalable Azure data pipelines and cloud-native data solutions.
- Develop ETL/ELT pipelines using Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, and Azure Synapse Analytics.
- Design and manage Azure Data Lake Storage Gen2 environments.
- Build analytics-ready datasets, semantic models, and reusable data products.
- Develop data transformation, cleansing, and enrichment workflows using Python and SQL.
- Integrate enterprise systems including ServiceNow and geospatial platforms using APIs and connectors.
- Design secure REST APIs using Azure API Management.
- Implement data governance, metadata management, lineage, and data quality controls.
- Ensure compliance with security and privacy standards including FOIP and GDPR.
- Monitor, optimize, and troubleshoot enterprise data pipelines.
- Utilize AI-assisted development tools to improve automation, code quality, and productivity.
- Collaborate with architects, product owners, analysts, and cross-functional engineering teams.

Mandatory Skills & Qualifications

- Post-secondary degree, diploma, or certificate in Computer Science or a related discipline.
- Hands-on Data Engineering experience using Python and SQL.
- Azure Databricks and Delta Lake experience.




- Experience in designing analytics-ready data solutions and trusted datasets.
- Azure services experience (Azure Storage, Azure SQL, Azure Synapse, Networking).
- Experience using Git or other version control systems.
- Experience using AI tools for code generation, automation, or data engineering productivity.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
