Role Overview Lead the future of the Mechanical & Electrical engineering team across the GTA. As Senior Director, shape the strategy, elevate technical excellence, and drive innovation across key sectors including transportation, healthcare, institutional, industrial, and commercial buildings.
Responsibilities
Drive regional strategy for M&E; services, aligning delivery with WSP’s national vision and evolving market demands.
Lead multidisciplinary teams to deliver complex engineering projects with excellence, efficiency, and compliance.
Champion technical excellence by guiding advanced M&E; system design, digital innovation, and sustainable solutions.
Strengthen client partnerships by building trusted relationships with key stakeholders and industry bodies across the region.
Expand market presence by identifying growth opportunities aligned with WSP’s strategic priorities.
Develop future leaders through mentorship, succession planning, and talent development initiatives.
Oversee major pursuits and projects ($1M+) while contributing to steering committees on high-value engagements.
Collaborate locally and nationally with M&E; leaders to drive consistency, innovation, and best practices.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
Qualified Engineer (P.Eng.) designation.
15+ years of progressive experience in M&E; engineering, including senior leadership roles.
Mechanical or Electrical engineering direct experience in transportation and aviation projects.
Demonstrated success managing large-scale, multidisciplinary engineering projects.
Strong business and commercial acumen with proven client-facing experience.
Deep technical expertise in M&E; systems and building design practices.
Established industry presence, including engagement with organizations such as ASHRAE, ACEC, ASPE.
Ability to lead high-performing teams and influence across a matrix organization.
Compensation AB, BC, NT, NU, SK & YT: $177,000 - 234,000
MB & ON: $161,500 - 222,300
NB, NL, NS, PE & QC: 159,900 - 212,300
