The Opportunity

- Prepare,file, prosecute, and manage Canadian trademark applications before CIPO.
- Adviseclients on trademark clearance, filing, prosecution, portfolio management,renewals, and brand protection strategy.
- Draftclear, persuasive responses to Examiner’s Reports and communicaterecommendations to clients.
- Coordinatewith clients, foreign associates, and agents on Canadian and internationaltrademark matters.
- Supportopposition, expungement, and contentious trademark matters in collaborationwith senior agents and lawyers.
- Managedeadlines, maintain accurate portfolio records, and help ensure exceptionalclient service.
- Buildstrong client relationships by providing practical, business-minded advice.
- Contributeto mentoring, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement within thetrademark team.

What You Bring

- Registrationas a Canadian Trademark Agent in good standing.




- Approximately 5+ years of trademark prosecution and portfolio management experience.
- Strongworking knowledge of CIPO practices, procedures, and trademark prosecutionstrategy.
- Excellentwritten and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate legaland technical issues into practical client advice.
- Strongorganization skills and confidence managing deadlines, priorities, and multipleactive matters.
- Acollaborative, service-minded approach and sound business judgment.
- Post-secondaryeducation; a legal degree or equivalent qualification is an asset.
- Experiencewith U.S. or foreign trademark matters is an asset.
- Bilingualismin English and French is an asset.

Compensation and Hiring Transparency

Compensationwill be competitive and aligned with the successful candidate’s experience,qualifications, and scope of responsibility. Salary range $90,000 to $110,000.
