Manager of FinanceHOURS: Full-time (37.5 hours/week)DURATION: PermanentLOCATION: Hybrid work environment (Ottawa or Toronto Office)TRAVEL: Occasional travel requiredSALARY: $107,179.94 per annumDEADLINE: Applications are accepted until 5pm ET April 27, 2026SummaryThe Manager of Finance is responsible for providing strategic oversight of all financial operations, including accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and donor related financial compliance. The role ensures the integrity of financial systems, supports organizational decision-making through high-quality analysis, and leads the finance team in delivering accurate, timely, and insightful financial information. This position plays an essential leadership role in strengthening financial stewardship, ensuring accountability, and advancing the organization’s human rights mandate through solid, ethical financial management.What You’ll DoFinancial Reporting & Accounting Operations- Lead the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and year‑end financial statements for internal and external stakeholders, including Amnesty’s International Secretariat.- Oversee all general accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, donation processing, general ledger, payroll, and financial controls.- Ensure financial records are maintained in accordance with applicable accounting principles and regulatory requirements.- Liaise with external auditors and lead the annual audit process, ensuring timely submissions and high‑quality documentation.Budgeting, Forecasting & Financial Planning- Develop and maintain financial models, dashboards, and forecasting tools to support strategic planning and organizational decision‑making.- Coordinate the annual budgeting and re‑forecasting processes and provide guidance to departments on financial planning.- Provide analysis and recommendations to support effective resource allocation.- Monitor financial performance and identify risks, trends, and opportunities.Leadership & Team Management- Build, lead,



and develop a high performing finance team that demonstrates excellence, cohesion, and alignment with organizational values.- Provide clear objectives, coaching, performance feedback, and opportunities for growth.- Foster collaborative, inclusive, and values aligned with team culture.Systems, Compliance, Controls & Risk Management- Ensure compliance with CRA regulations, sector‑specific accounting standards, and donor funding requirements.- Prepare and submit required CRA filings and remittances, including the T3010 Registered Charity Information Return and payroll‑related filings, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely submission.- Oversee financial controls and reporting related to charitable donation receipting, ensuring compliance with CRA receipting rules and internal policies.- Develop and strengthen internal controls, financial policies, and risk mitigation processes.- Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of evolving accounting practices and regulatory changes.- Identify opportunities to improve financial systems, workflows, and documentation to increase efficiency and clarity.Strategic Finance & Organizational Support- Provide financial insights and analysis to support operational and strategic initiatives.- Partner with cross functional teams to support transparency, planning, and financial stewardship.- Support leadership with scenario modelling, cost analysis, cash flow analysis, and long‑range financial planning.What We’re Looking for in a CandidateThe successful candidate will have a deep and abiding commitment to tackling systemic issues affecting historically marginalized employees and communities with a specific lens of anti‑racism, feminism, intersectionality,
