We are looking for a Senior Product Owner with strong knowledge of hydrographic workflows and the geospatial industry to help shape product strategy, drive customer value, and lead the future development of one of the industry's leading software solutions.
This is a highly visible role at the intersection of customers, technology, and business strategy. You'll work closely with Development, Support, Sales, and customers to ensure our products continue to solve complex real-world challenges and deliver measurable value.
What You'll Do
- Own and manage the product roadmap and backlog
- Translate customer insights into product priorities and requirements
- Lead product discovery and validate customer needs
- Work closely with Development, Support, Sales, and customers
- Coordinate product releases and stakeholder communications
- Drive continuous product improvement based on customer feedback and market trends
- Ensure product initiatives deliver measurable customer value
- Act as an escalation point for complex product-related issues
- Champion product direction and priorities across the organisation with clarity
- Travel to visit customers and attend conferences, representing QPS while gathering product ideas and feedback
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience as a Product Owner, Product Manager, Business Analyst, or similar role
- Strong product management expertise in a technical B2B software environment
- Demonstrable knowledge of survey planning, processing, analysis and deliverables within the hydrographic domain and their role within various workflows and operations
- Strong understanding of hydrography and geospatial concepts at a theoretical level
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and negotiation skills
- Ability to balance customer needs, business goals, and technical considerations
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
- Experience working with Agile teams and tools such as Jira and Confluence
- Proven ability to translate customer needs into valuable product outcomes
- Offshore hydrographic survey experience is an advantage
Education & Experience
