This role reports to the Supervisor, Housekeeping & Laundry, providing laundry services to the residents living in the home. This includes washing soiled articles, ordering laundry supplies when needed, cleaning laundry equipment and informing the Supervisor of any issues. Duties & Responsibilities

Deliverwagons to resident home areas and distributes articles appropriately. Differentiatebetween “dry clean” and water wash articles. Documentmissing and found actions/returns from linen service. Orderlaundry chemicals/supplies. Monitorand confirms daily linen quotas. Respondto the customer/client enquiries. Labelpersonal effects of residents. Cleanlaundry equipment/area. Possess a secondary school diploma and the ability to operate laundry equipment and prioritize tasks. Valuable oral and written communication skills and the ability to work both in a team and independently are required. Must have an understanding of the Residents’ Bill of Rights and Compliance Standards as set out by the Ministry of Health and Long Term Care. A general knowledge and understanding of workplace safety and basic computer skills are also required. Preferred Previous experience as a laundry worker. Working/ Employment Conditions

Working Conditions The incumbent must be able to perform all the necessary physical tasks associated with the position including lifting approximately 50 lbs., pushing, pulling, and moving heavy materials, equipment and boxes.
