Make a significant impact as a Youth Outreach Worker with IslamicFamily in Edmonton! This full time role combines intensive case management and community engagement to support at-risk youth. As a full time Youth Prevention Outreach Worker, you will empower youth aged 12–24 who are at risk of gang involvement or criminal activity.
Utilize your skills in trauma-informed care, community navigation, and relationship-building to create a positive trajectory for underserved individuals. Collaborate with a supportive wraparound team to ensure no young person falls through the cracks. Key Responsibilities:
Provide relationship-based support in schools and communities
Conduct strengths-based assessments for individual success
Connect youth with counseling and education resources
Support youth transitioning from detention to community
Deliver gang prevention education and healthy decision support Requirements:
Degree in Social Work or related field
Experience in case management with at-risk youth
Competency in Arabic, Somali an asset
