As a full-time Youth Outreach Worker with PCRS, you will play a vital role in the Inter-Regional At-Risk Youth Link program. Your efforts will focus on outreach at SkyTrain hubs, providing immediate support and connecting youth to vital community resources.
Key skills include understanding youth behaviors, team collaboration, and effective communication. Key Responsibilities:
Conduct street outreach to connect with hard-to-reach youth
Promote pro-social activities by engaging youth at SkyTrain stations
Distribute essential supplies like snacks and harm reduction items
Provide substance use education and naloxone training
Maintain community stakeholder relationships and engage in program presentations Requirements:
2-year Diploma in Child and Youth Care or related field
2 years of experience with at-risk youth
Experience with immigrant, refugee, or Indigenous communities
Ability to work adaptable schedule, including weekends
