The Tissue Recovery

Coordinator will report to the Manager of Ocular Recovery and is crucial in the coordination of tissue donation and transplantation for Trillium Gift of Life Network.

Your responsibilities will cover the surgical recovery process, packaging, and transportation of human tissue in compliance with health standards. Your work will involve significant travel and versatile on-call shifts, making it essential to have a valid driver's license and the ability to lift patients safely. Key Responsibilities:
Perform surgical recovery of eye tissue from deceased individuals




Package and transport tissues adhering to safety standards
Assess medical suitability of tissue donors
Conduct technical duties like blood draws and medical chart reviews
Ensure accurate documentation and quality control Requirements:
University degree or diploma in health sciences
Four years’ experience in a healthcare setting preferred
Certification in tissue or eye banking is an asset
Valid class G driver's license and reliable vehicle
