The Sanitation Personnel is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and healthy workplace in the production facility, office areas, kitchen, and bathrooms. This includes cleaning and sanitizing equipment, floors, surfaces, and other areas to prevent contamination and ensure compliance with standard procedures and regulations.
Core Duties and Responsibilities
Clean and sanitize production areas, equipment, and utensils according to standard operating procedures (SOPs) and regulatory requirements
Maintain cleanliness and organization of office areas, including desks, floors, and surfaces
Clean and sanitize kitchen areas, including counters, sinks, and appliances
Clean and maintain bathrooms, including restocking supplies and ensuring adequate paper products and soap
Sweep, mop, and clean floors in all areas of the facility
Empty trash and recyclables and replace liners
Restock cleaning supplies and paper products as needed
Follow all safety protocols and procedures when using cleaning chemicals and equipment
Maintain a clean and organized storage area for cleaning supplies and equipment
Collaborate with other teams to ensure a clean and safe working workplace
Report any maintenance or repair issues to the facilities manager/supervisor
Other duties assigned by supervisor
Additional Information
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to do the following:
Walk, stand for extended periods of time
Wear appropriate safety equipment, as instructed
Majority of work time will be spent in production and warehouse where:
Temperatures can vary between cool and hot depending on the process and weather
Noise level can be moderate
Position is exposed to small particles, allergens and odors
Position is required to wear common protective and/or safety gear, i.e. lab coats, gloves, facemask, hairnet, etc.
Requirements
Basic knowledge of cleaning and sanitizing procedures
Ability to follow SOPs and regulatory requirements
Positive communication and teamwork skills
Physical ability to lift, bend, and stand for long periods
Pay: $20.00 per hour
Ability to commute/relocate
Saskatoon, SK: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
Experience:
