This position reports to the VP of Sales & Marketing and is responsible for developing and managing sales for one of three business units within Deflecto USA. This individual will have responsibilities in growing our business within active accounts, as well as creating and pursuing new account opportunities with a focus on attaining Deflecto’s annual sales and margin goals.

Essential Job Functions include but are not limited to the following:
As the primary sales contact, develop and maintain relationships with key customers
Evaluate the industry and business trends; identify key business opportunities for the assigned business unit
Responsible for delivering budgeted sales goals for assigned business unit
Responsible for developing gain sharing prospects with customers
Responsible for increasing account profitability over prior year’s results
Partner with other teams including Marketing, Finance, and Operations
At least 30% travel to attend trade shows, customer calls, and other industry events
Other duties as assigned

Qualifications and/or Skills Required
Bachelor of Science Degree in Business or a related field, or equivalent business experience




Minimally 5 years in a relevant position with a proven track record of active and new account growth
Must have 5 years of experience in calling on large customers and have successfully implemented current programs, line reviews, and planogram management
Must be proficient in Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Ability to work in a fast paced, multitasking setting while meeting deadlines
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds when required
Strongs relationship building skills, along with strength in negotiating skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
High knowledge level of Deflecto’s current and proposed products • High levels of self discipline to maintain a steady workflow when working remotely

Work Environment

This position involves frequent contact with personnel inside and outside the company and requires reasonable tact, discretion, self-expression, and a working knowledge of the benefits, policies, procedures, and confidentiality laws. This position will require at least 30% travel.
