Responsibilities
Perform a variety of hair styling services including cuts, color treatments, blowouts, and special occasion styles with precision and flair
Deliver excellent customer service by listening carefully to clients’ needs and offering personalized recommendations
Maintain high standards of sanitation and cleanliness in all work areas to ensure a safe environment for clients and staff
Upsell retail products such as shampoos, conditioners, styling tools, and treatments to enhance client results and boost sales
Manage front desk duties including scheduling appointments, greeting clients, and handling payments efficiently
Communicate clearly with clients about styling options, aftercare instructions,
and product recommendations
Stay current with industry trends and techniques through ongoing education to bring fresh ideas to the salon
Requirements
Proven experience in hair styling with robust technical skills in cutting, coloring, and styling techniques
Excellent customer service skills with the ability to connect positively with diverse clients
Knowledge of sanitation standards and proper hygiene practices in a salon setting
Strong communication skills to effectively discuss styles, products, and services with clients and team members
Ability to upsell retail products tactfully while maintaining a focus on client satisfaction
Previous experience working at the front desk or handling retail sales is preferred but not required
A valid cosmetology license or certification as required by local regulations
