Duties
Assist clients with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support to promote independence and dignity
Provide patient care including medication administration, wound care, and monitoring vital signs under supervision or as trained
Support seniors and individuals with disabilities through companionship, emotional support, and engaging activities
Prepare nutritious meals tailored to dietary needs and assist with feeding when necessary
Perform light housekeeping tasks such as cleaning, laundry, and maintaining a protected environment to ensure comfort and hygiene
Assist with transfers and heavy lifting using proper techniques to prevent injury for both clients and caregivers
Document care provided accurately in client records and communicate any changes or concerns to healthcare teams
Experience
Prior experience working with seniors or individuals with disabilities in assisted living, nursing home, or home care settings is highly valued
Demonstrated experience in patient care, including medication administration and dementia or hospice care
Familiarity with caregiving tasks such as meal preparation, cleaning, and mobility support
Knowledge of safety procedures related to heavy lifting and infection control standards
Experience working with diverse populations requiring specialized care such as dementia or hospice patients is a plus
