We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Cafe Team Leader/Cafe Assistant Manager to join our vibrant team. This full time role is essential in ensuring the smooth operation of our cafe, providing excellent customer service, and leading a team of staff members. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a passion for food preparation, and experience in restaurant management.
As a Cafe Team Leader, you will be responsible for creating a welcoming environment for both customers and employees. For this role, we will require a minimum of 2 years experience as a barista as you will be helping bring new ideas to our beverage menu and implementing them for the team.
Duties
Supervise daily operations of the cafe, ensuring high standards of service and cleanliness.
Manage cash handling processes, including operating the POS system accurately.
Train and mentor new staff members, conducting interviews as needed to build a robust team.
Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
Collaborate with management to implement new menu items and promotional activities.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the cafe environment.
Must be well versed in the coffee beverage world
Requirements
Previous experience in a restaurant or cafe setting is preferred.
Strong skills in food preparation and cooking techniques.
Familiarity with POS systems and cash handling procedures.
Excellent leadership abilities with experience in supervising staff.
Ability to work efficiently in a quick-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
Solid communication skills to effectively interact with customers and team members.
