We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Cafe Assistant to join our team in a vibrant café environment. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring excellent customer service while collaborating with the Kitchen to ensure product is available for customers and maintaining a welcoming atmosphere. This position requires a passion for the food industry, strong leadership skills, and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.

Duties
Operate the POS system efficiently for cash handling and customer transactions.
Provide exceptional customer service by engaging with patrons and addressing their needs promptly.
Supervise staff during shifts, providing guidance and support to ensure smooth operations.
Manage inventory levels of doughnuts to ensure we have product to sell during the date and keeping aware of supply levels and communicating with owner
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café area, including kitchen equipment and dining spaces.
Train new employees on food handling practices, customer service protocols,



and operational procedures.
Collaborate with management to develop recent coffee menu items
Assist with social media

Qualifications
Previous experience in food service or restaurant management is preferred.
Strong background as a barista with extensive coffee knowledge.
Familiarity with POS systems
Demonstrated leadership skills with experience in team management or supervising staff.
Excellent customer service skills with the ability to create a positive dining experience for guests.
Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in food handling.

Job Type: Full time Pay: $19.00-$23.00 per hour
