Job Summary

We are seeking a friendly and efficient Barista to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for delivering exceptional customer service and creating high-quality beverages. This role involves preparing and serving coffee, tea, and other beverages, maintaining a clean and welcoming setting, and ensuring a positive experience for all customers.

Previous experience in the food industry or as a barista is preferred but not required; training will be provided. The position requires strong time management skills, attention to food safety standards, and the ability to handle cash transactions accurately.

Responsibilities
Prepare and serve a variety of coffee drinks, teas, and specialty beverages using standard recipes and techniques
Operate POS systems, including Micros POS, for order processing and cash handling
Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers warmly and addressing their needs promptly
Handle food preparation tasks such as assembling food items and maintaining food safety standards
Manage cash register operations, including cashiering and basic math calculations for transactions
Maintain cleanliness of the work area, equipment, and dining space in accordance with health and safety regulations




Ensure proper food handling procedures are followed at all times
Restock supplies as needed to ensure smooth daily operations
Uphold food safety standards and adhere to all health regulations
Smart serve certified.

Requirements
Previous experience as a Barista or in the food service industry is preferred
Knowledge of POS systems, especially Micros POS, is a plus
Strong customer service skills with an emphasis on creating a welcoming environment
Excellent time management skills to handle multiple orders efficiently during busy periods
Ability to perform basic math accurately for cash handling and register operations
Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures
Ability to work in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail
Flexibility to work various shifts including mornings, afternoons, or evenings as needed
