We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Painter to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for applying paint, coatings, and finishes to various surfaces and components, ensuring high-quality standards and safety compliance. Responsibilities
Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, or masking as needed
Apply paint, coatings, or finishes using brushes, rollers, spray equipment, or other tools with precision
Operate machinery such as cranes and forklifts when necessary for material handling or access to elevated areas
Use hand tools and power tools to assist in surface preparation and finishing tasks
Follow safety protocols related to the use of chemicals, equipment, and working at heights
Perform inspections to ensure paint quality and adherence to specifications
Maintain a clean work area and properly store tools and materials
Assist in assembly or machining tasks as required within the manufacturing process
Support lean manufacturing initiatives by adhering to efficient work practices
Qualifications
Proven experience in painting within a manufacturing or industrial setting preferred
Mechanical knowledge with familiarity of hand tools, power tools, welding, and machining processes
Ability to operate cranes, forklifts, and other industrial equipment safely (training provided if needed)
Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to surface preparation and coating thicknesses
Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles is a plus
Strong attention to detail with an emphasis on quality control
Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a quick-paced environment
Good physical condition with the ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods
Prior experience with assembly or working around manufacturing machinery is advantageous
Pay: $25.00-$50.00 per hour
